# A SEQUENCE THAT GOVERNS THE GEOMETRY OF THE UNIVERSE

This sequence known as the Fibonacci series is considered as the nature’s numbering system. They appear everywhere in Nature, from the leaf arrangement in plants to the pattern in flower florets to the spiral galaxies. No doubt, it’s a sequence that governs the geometry of the universe !

## FIBONACCI SERIES, WHAT IS IT ?

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, …

This sequence, named after the mathematician Leonardo of Pisa (nicknamed Fibonacci), is constructed by the seeds of the sequence (initial two numbers) then assigning the rest by the rule that each number be the sum of the preceding two.

## Some interesting facts and illustrations:

• Take any three adjacent numbers in the sequence, square the middle number, multiply the first and third numbers. The difference between these two results is always 1.
• Take any four adjacent numbers in the sequence. Multiply the outside ones. Multiply the inside ones. The first product will be either one more or one less than the second.
• The sum of any ten adjacent numbers equals 11 times the seventh one of the ten.

That is an absolutely bitaueful image Steve! I love the color, the texture, the sharpness, the light, everything! My eyes just keep moving around the image, never leaving the frame. I would have picked that one too, if I had seen it.I’ve noticed that your style has changed somewhat from what I’ve seen from you in the past. Your images on the blog lately are sharper and more defined, without as much apparent PP. I like that. Looking forward to shooting with you again someday.

I think this is one of the very best pictures you have taken and if I were there I would have taken the exact same shot. Just so buaitufel and the bee really adds to it. Your friend has a good eye as well as you do. I love the way you are taking the close ups of items. You make them really come alive. I would love to see some of your other close ups.
